Instructions for the care of
eVent® Fabrics garments

Your eVent® Fabrics sports equipment is manufactured to the highest standards. To preserve optimal performance of use and prolong its life, ITTTAI recommends you follow the manufacturer’s care instructions on the garment label.

How to wash your eVent® technical garment

Wash in the washing machine with warm water and liquid detergent. Rinse to remove all traces of detergent from the fabric.

Check the label

Before washing your eVent garment, check the washing instructions indicated by the manufacturer on the label. If you have lost your label, be sure to check their websites or contact their customer service.

Use liquid detergent

Are you planning to wash your garment at home or in a laundromat? Make sure there are no residuals of aggressive detergents in the washing machine. Some types of detergents, such as those in powder form, can damage the DWR water-repellent finish that makes the garments perform so well. If you normally use powder detergent for standard washes, it is important to wash the detergent tray and load it empty to remove any leftovers. Warning: powder detergent is harmful for DWR coatings.

Wash at 40°C, do not iron.

Later, we recommend inserting your garment in the basket and setting a wash cycle with a water temperature of 40°C. Pour a low dose of normal neutral detergent. Do not use any softener or bleach, do not dry clean. All these activities risk damaging the eVent® fabric and membrane

How to restore the water repellency of your eVent® technical garment

Perform a slow drying cycle to restore the water repellent finish of the garment.

Take care of the DWR

If your eVent garment is still relatively new, it’s likely that its DWR (Durable Water Repellent) layer is still in excellent condition. It can be determined simply by spraying water on the outside of the jacket or garment. If it aligns and comes off easily, the DWR is still in good condition.

Do not iron

We recommend that you do not iron your eVent garment. This activity risks damaging the eVent® fabric and membrane.

Restore the DWR

Tumble dry your eVent® garment and perform a low heat cycle. This process will act on the molecules of the DWR finish, restoring the original water repellency index.

What specific products to use to take care of the DWR

Use a specific treatment for DWR in order to best restore water repellency.

Waste DWR?

If the DWR finish is particularly wasted, its performance will suffer. To avoid getting wet while practicing your favorite sport, you can take further action: Spray the outer layer of your garment with a water-repellent treatment such as Nikwax Tx-Direct, let it drain and then dry it at low temperature in the dryer.

Finished! Enjoy eVent®

Compliments! Now your eVent® garment is ready to be worn again.
